As a vegan is not easy to be away from home but she acts very matter of fact about it.Venturing into this long journey to explore amazing nature either remote or well known in this very intimate approach must be an unforgettable experience!
This book motivates me to go camping and and the writer offers many interesting ideas and places that I will take in consideration on my next camping trip. I had so much fun reading it!

I have been following Hook's travels on facebook and I am so excited to learn that her travels are now compiled and bound in a book !! I had to buy it !
This was a present & my sister liked it.
I bought this book for ideas on what kind of vegan food to pack to keep me strong and healthy on my upcoming camping/hiking trip through the Grand Canyon, and I got SO MUCH MORE! Hook includes a packing list, safety tips, lesser known campgrounds and attractions that are now on my must see list, and tons of helpful resources and interesting tidbits you'll be glad to know. Wow, I was impressed. I have bought a few other camping & backpacking books and this is my favorite, hands down. You need a highlighter...there's so much info to refer back to over and over again! Highly recommend!
Looks great, got for my dad as a gift. It is a little thinner than expected but being vegan, you get used to not having tons of options;)
I bought a digital copy of this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only were the stories smart (and sometimes sweet), but the budget-minded vegan will really appreciate this read. I recently took kids on a cross-country trip, and I only wish I would have read this before we started out. As a veg-head family, we look for the cool stuff off the beaten path, the beauty often passed over by others, and naturally, the best way to stretch a buck. The photography in this book is wonderful. I am an avid follower of the associated Facebook page, and have enjoyed the photos long before I got my hands on the downloadable book. Presently my son is reading this one and my daughter is in line to read it next. I think I need hard copies for them both. Plus, I just want to have it in my hands to flip through the pictures whenever I please. I would encourage the author to do this for all future travels she may enjoy. I can tell you it was a pure joy to read along...
